Sisters Chamber launches 'charm trail'

The Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the beginning of the Sisters Country Charm Bracelet - Rodeo Style. Beginning this weekend, businesses located throughout the Sisters Country will be participating in this charm trail.

Once upon a time, many years ago, Cowgirl sisters, Faith & Hope, and their sidekick, the Camp Sherman Kid, rode West to join in the Sisters Rodeo and Parade. While breaking camp one crisp spring morning near the Metolius River, the Kid neglected to tighten his saddlebag, and as he and the sisters rode through the Sisters Country, tiny Western symbols were sprinkled across the land.

Now, you can collect these tiny symbols of our Western town one at a time. Stop by the trailhead at the Chamber of Commerce in Sisters and purchase a bracelet for $5. Created from polished pewter, this bracelet measures about seven inches long with a toggle and lobster claw clasp.

A special charm specifically selected by the Chamber begins your bracelet with a choice of either a rodeo or 2009 charm.

While at the chamber, you will receive a map showing the locations of the participating businesses. Each business will be selling a unique, Western-themed charm for just $2 each. Once you have collected all 18 charms, this beautifully formed bracelet tells a story of the various places you visited throughout the day in Sisters. City Hall is offering a sheriff's badge charm.
