The Hashem Assadullahi Jazz Quintet will perform a concert at the Sisters High School Band Room, October 6, at 7:30 p.m. The concert is open to the public, and will be an appealing presentation taking place in an up-close-and-personal club-like venue.
The quintet is appearing in Sisters as part of a performance tour, presenting original jazz compositions inspired by masters in the genre, as well as by pop and classical influences.
Hashem, a saxophonist, will be joined by trumpeter Andrew Rowen, guitarist Justin Morell, double bassist Tyler Abbott and drummer Randy Rollofson.
Members of the group have extensive performing, composing and instructing experience in regional, national and international settings. While here in Sisters, the group will also be working with high school and middle school students over the days surrounding their performance.
