Outlaws football has nine all-leaguers

The Outlaws football squad had nine players selected to all-league teams this year, including Chase Kleint, who was unanimously named first-team all-league running back and was also named the Sky-Em Co-Offensive Player of the Year.

Kleint rushed 1,880 yards for the Outlaws, had 400 yards in reception and scored 27 touchdowns for the season.

"Besides his talent, Chase's work ethic is to be admired," said Coach Bob Macauley. "He was our visible leader at practice, and the legacy he'll leave behind is to show the younger kids how to work. Even when he was sick or when he was beat up from a game he was always at practice and gave it everything he had."

Max Stovall earned second-team all-league linebacker and led the Outlaws with 116 tackles on the season.

"From the beginning, Max was our best defensive player and our most physical player. I'm very impressed with his mental toughness and his physical toughness, and he's well deserving of earning second-team all-league recognition," said Macauley.

Hayden Hudson earned second-team offensive line.

"Hayden did a good job for us," said Macauley. "He'd play hurt, even when he didn't need to. He was committed and put the team above himself. His unselfish attitude was an inspiration to the team."

The Outlaws had six players who earned honorable mention, including Eric Carlson, quarterback; Randy Ketchum, offensive line; Bryce Alderman, offensive line; Marteen Jiminez, wide receiver; Marcus Arends, defensive back; and Rodney Warner, linebacker.
