Follow the Gingerbread Trail

From Brand 33 Restaurant at Aspen Lakes in the east to The Lodge at Suttle Lake in the west, a special trail winds its way through the Sisters Country.

It's the Gingerbread Trail, a holiday tradition that raises the spirits - and much-needed cash - for Sisters Habitat for Humanity.

At 19 locations across the Sisters Country, business owners and creative helpers have created gingerbread houses in an astonishing variety of themes. You can view each of the houses and vote on your favorite by stuffing cash into the donation box at each location.

The gingerbread house with the most cash collected through January 1, 2010 is the winner. Of course, the real winners are the families who will enjoy real houses built from sweat and love by Sisters Habitat for Humanity. All proceeds go to the local chapter to fund homebuilding projects in the Sisters Country.

Gingerbread Trail locations are: Brand 33; Shibui Spa; Sisters Athletic Club; FivePine Lodge; U.S. Bank; Paulina Springs Books; Sisters Bakery; Your $12.99 Store; Alpaca By Design; Depot Café; Jennifer Lake Gallery; The Culver House; Bank of the Cascades; Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce; Sisters Habitat for Humanity Thrift Store; The Fly Fisher's Place; Sisters Habitat Restore; Ray's Food Place; The Lodge at Suttle Lake.
