News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

The Mandarin Chinese class at Sisters High School would like to thank "Peggy's Pin Pals" of the Black Butte Ranch Art Guild for the donation of the awesome Christmas quilt to support our students' trip to China next summer.
We sold opportunities to win the quilt beginning at the Sisters Harvest Fair, and ending Saturday, December 5th at the Sisters Art Works' Christmas Open House. The lucky winner was Ms. Michelle Malone of Sisters. Congratulations Michelle!
We would also like to thank Mr. Zhang Chi Hong of SOJI's Noodle & Rice for donating his time Saturday, doing Chinese calligraphy, which we sold to raise money for our students' trip. Mr. Zhang is an accomplished poet and calligrapher, and we are very appreciative of his willingness to help for the students.
