Beverly Jean Baldridge, of Powell Butte, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at St. Charles Medical Center in Redmond. She was 67 years of age.
Beverly was born the daughter of Gordon Clifford and Claira (Jacobson) Smith on April 19, 1942, in Weiser, Idaho. She was raised in Eastern Oregon. She was living in Huntington when she met her husband-to-be, the love of her life for 52-1/2 years, Roger Henry Baldridge. They were married in Prairie City on July 5, 1957.
Beverly and Roger moved to Powell Butte from Lakeview almost seven years ago. They lived in Lakeview for seven years, and 24 years in Sisters.
Beverly was an avid reader, from her daily Bible studies to reading history books to her grandchildren. She also loved reading Louis L'Amour westerns. Her favorite hobby was designing and drawing houses. Beverly loved to spend time with her family, and always ensuring her grandchildren's birthdays were special. Beverly has been a member of the Powell Butte Christian Church since moving to Powell Butte.
She is survived by her husband, Roger Baldridge of Powell Butte; three daughters, Shanna and her husband, Bryan Sproat, of Powell Butte, Robbin and her husband, Vincent Foran, of North Pole, Alaska, and Brandon "Brandy" and her husband, Thomas Vernon, of Portland; sisters, Joyce Authier of Mt. Vernon, and Sharon Leasy of Prineville; brothers Clifford
Smith of Long Creek, and Timmy Smith of McMinnville; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Morse Smith.
There will be no public services per Beverly's request.
