News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

Sisters salutes...

•Bill and Sheryl McLaughlin: Thank you Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire Department. What a way to share your Christmas, serving others a Christmas dinner. Your friendliness and attentiveness to everyone was so appreciated. Our community continues to astound me.

Thank you to the churches and other volunteers that made this delicious meal possible. God bless you all!

•Paso by Paso Equine Rehabilitation, a 501(c)(3) charity, wishes to express gratitude to the "Little Town of Sisters" for making their Giving Tree a Blessing Tree.

The idea of putting a "giving tree" in the Sisters Feed Store was warmly received by store owner Fred Macalou. His kindness extended to offering a 10-percent discount on all items purchased for the charity. The charity received wonderful donations from the public, to include the tree itself.

The horses are doing so much better as a result of the community's donations and, if they could speak, would say "bless the kind hearts" of those who live in Sisters.

Thus, the true Spirit of the Season did bring the charity a wonderful start to the New Year. All are invited to visit, to see what miracles have been made for the special needs horses. Thank You! Paso by Paso Equine Rehabilitation, 541-318-4829.
