SPRD seeks community input

The Sisters Park & Recreation District is looking for community input and started a community survey January 4.

The survey can be accessed online at http://www.sistersrecreation.com. Copies of the survey are also available at Sisters Park & Recreation District and the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce. The survey will continue until February 5.

The Sisters Park & Recreation District will use the information collected from the survey to help program priorities for the coming fiscal year and to establish longer term goals for the district.

Everyone is invited to participate in the survey and share their thoughts and ideas.

District board members and staff will also be distributing the survey to community groups and are available to attend group meetings to describe the public input process they are working on. If you a like to have a district representative come meet with your group, contact Carrie Ward at the number provided below.

In mid-February the district will be convening four program review committees to discuss the survey results, and help to forward program recommendations to the board of directors. The four program review committees are: preschool programs, youth and teen programs, adult programs, and youth and adult sports. If you would be interested in serving on one of the committees, call SPRD at the number provided below.

The Sisters Park & Recreation District Board of Directors is working on a new operating plan for the district that will allow the district to meet the needs of the community, develop new partnerships and be financially responsible and sustainable.
