BendFilm to screen "indies" in Sisters

BendFilm will screen its "Reel Indies" at Sisters Movie House on Sunday, March 28, at 1 p.m. Film lovers can catch this month's selection, "The Best of BendFilm Shorts."

"Reel Indies is a new monthly series that gives BendFilm an opportunity to showcase the top independent films that have been screened at the BendFilm Festival throughout the years. Further, this allows us to offer year-round independent film programming in Central Oregon," said Bob Lane, BendFilm board president.

Most monthly screenings are on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at McMenamin's Old St. Francis School, unless otherwise noted. Tickets for Sisters may be purchased at the door. Price is $8 general admission, $6 for BendFilm members. Students 18 and younger are free with student I.D. Films are recommended for audiences age 13 or older.

BendFilm celebrates the voice of independent cinema though films, lectures and education. It was named one of MovieMaker magazine's 20 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee (Spring 2007). The 2010 Festival will be held October 7-10. For information visit www.bendfilm.org
