News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Four Outlaws were all-league selections this year, including Drew Harrison, John Erickson, Rodney Warner and Jalen Miller.
Senior Drew Harrison was a first-team all-league selection and was the glue that held the young Sisters squad together. Harrison wrapped up his fourth year as a varsity player as the third all-time leading scorer.
"Drew played every quarter in his four years of varsity basketball," said Coach Rand Runco. "Drew was incredibly consistent, a great defender and was a leader for us in rebounding. He was a major key to a really good season."
Sophomore John Erickson was voted second-team all-league and averaged close to 12 points per game.
"John was an excellent scorer and was key on ball defense. He had the ability to score from anywhere on the court and was voted our Most Offensive Player of the Year," said Runco.
Senior Rodney Warner and sophomore Jalen Miller earned honorable mention. Miller averaged eight points and four assists per game.
"Jalen had a great first varsity season, was great on defense and was key to us being so competitive. Rodney provided leadership to the team, was a great mid-range shooter and was a scrappy, tough player that never quit," stated Runco.
The Outlaws wrapped up their season with a 13-12 record. Sisters was 7-5 in league and 1-1 in playoffs.
