Ranch opens new Lodge Restaurant

Black Butte Ranch opened the new Lodge Restaurant at Black Butte Ranch on Thursday, May 13.

The revamped restaurant is part of an overall upgrade of the culinary offerings at the Ranch.

"We are excited to open the new Lodge Restaurant for our guests, homeowners, and visitors to the local area. We are committed to having our guests enjoy an upscale dining event, with emphasis on regional ingredients," said Dean Ecker, food and beverage director for Black Butte Ranch.

"The food will showcase our team's culinary talent; capture the Ranch heritage and continue to provide dining guests the scenic brilliance and impeccable service they have experienced for over 40 years at the Ranch."

The ambiance of the restaurant has also changed.

Adorned with knotty pine, exposed hardwood floors, modern color accents and rustic Ranch-inspired decor, the Lodge Restaurant captures the history of the Ranch and the region when you walk through its doors.

The dinner menu features many "ranch plate" dishes such as a grilled buffalo tenderloin with locally foraged mushrooms, crispy pancetta and roasted corn cream; house spice rubbed "cowboy ribeye" with Southwest lentil salad and adobo sauce; and alder smoked Chinook salmon with

roasted quinoa cake and beet

glaze.

The new Lodge Restaurant showcases it's "Cowboy Chow" Section of the menu, which allows guests to enjoy steakhouse-style dining with five different beef cuts starting at $19, while offering several wine flights to match the food journey they will enjoy.

The new Lodge Restaurant includes an extensive wine list featuring some of the Northwest's finest vintages; in addition, the Aspen Lounge will feature newly crafted cocktails and signature drinks.

"The new Lodge Restaurant showcases the next step in the Ranch's dining experience and is an exciting piece of our revitalization effort of Black Butte's food and beverage programs," said Scott Huntsman, president and CEO for Black Butte Ranch. "This culinary dining experience will provide a unique offering for guests and homeowners, while complementing the offerings available at Robert's Pub."
