AT&T seeks new cell tower location

AT&T is seeking to site a new 150-foot cell phone tower in the Panoramic neighborhood east of Sisters.

Eagle Consulting Group, who represents the telecommunications giant in its site-acquisition process, will hold a neighborhood meeting on the proposed project on Thursday, July 29, at 6 p.m. at the Sisters Library. Such meetings are required by law.

The proposed tower would be located on property owned by Edward Bork at 69385 Green Ridge Lp.

According to the public meeting notice sent to neighbors, "The site will consist of a 150-foot-tall support structure with antennas attached to the top portion of the structure on a leased 50-foot-by-50-foot site easement..."

AT&T previously unsuccessfully attempted to site a tower off Bradley Road east of Sisters. Neighbors fought that proposal out of concern for impacts on views.

The Sisters Library is located at 110 N. Cedar St. in Sisters.
