Local photographers work on display

Friends of the Sisters Library (FOSL) Art Committee members work overtime to bring a diverse presentation of art for patrons to enjoy as they come and go in the library. The photo work of the Sisters Area Photography Club (SAPC) will be on display throughout the month of September.

SAPC has a membership of about 25 amateur and professional photographers from throughout the Sisters area. The club meets the fourth Wednesday of the month in the Community Room of the library, and during most meetings "Oh, that's how it works!" tips are shared between members. The club is also associated with the Columbia Council of Camera Clubs, a regional group of camera clubs from all over the Northwest.

The work of SAPC members can be seen at http://www.sis

tersphotoclub.smugmug.com. And there is always room for new SAPC members. For information, contact Gary Miller at 541-771-9929 or [email protected]

For those who would like to gain further knowledge of the art and science of photography, Sandy McDonald, Sisters librarian, has put out a helpful display of photography books adjacent to the check-out area of the library.
