Gala will benefit Sisters Elementary School

The Sisters Parent-Teacher Community (SPTC) will host the fourth annual Green and Gold Gala Auction benefiting Sisters Elementary School (SES) on Saturday, November 6, at 6 p.m.

SPTC will hold its annual auction to raise money for SES educational programs. The event will be held at Brand 33 Restaurant at Aspen Lakes Golf Course, east of Sisters on Highway 126. The evening will include a silent and live auction, raffles, dinner and dancing.

"We're gearing up for another fabulous event," said event coordinator Melanie Petterson. "Each classroom is creating one-of-a kind art projects for the auction. In the past, money raised has supported our school's art literacy program, science day, and author assembly programs, as well as a variety of individual classroom needs. As our schools face ever-increasing budget challenges, the need to fill some of the funding gaps will continue to rise."

Ticket prices are $25 in advance and are now available at Sisters Elementary School, Brand 33 Restaurant at Aspen Lakes, and Metamorphosis Day Spa in Sisters. The event is open to the public, with more than 200 people expected to attend.
