Ramble draws community support

The inaugural Sisters High School Key Club Harvest Ramble drew 67 runners and walkers on Saturday.

"It went really, really well," said Key Club advisor Michele Hammer. "It was great to see so many from the community out to support it, because it was a really nasty day."

Runners covered a 5k course, while walkers strode out for 3 kilometers.

The event started and ended at Sisters Village Green and participants enjoyed a post-run barbecue.

The event raised just under $1,000. Half will go toward sending Key Club members to the annual district convention and the other half will go into the club's grant fund for distribution into the Sisters community.
