Ten Friends, a Sisters-based nonprofit that assists villages in Nepal with education and infrastructure needs, is celebrating a "Himalayan Holiday" at Aspen Hall at Shevlin Park in Bend, on Sunday, December 12 from 4 to 8 p.m.
Admission is free and children are welcome.
The watchword of the event is "gift giving with a purpose," and proceeds from the sale of Nepali gift items will support Ten Friends' Himalayan Education Center.
Nepali food will be featured and there will be live music and free beverages. Attendees will get an update on the organization's projects.
