News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Dr. Andrew Abdelnour, DMD, has taken over Dr. Brad Braman's dental practice in the High Lakes Building at the corner of Pine Street and Adams Avenue.
Braman's retirement was accelerated due to health concerns; he and Abdelnour are long-time friends and it was a good fit for Abdelnour to relocate to Sisters. Abdelnour previously practiced in McMinnville, finishing there in October after spending several months commuting between the two locations.
Abdelnour is a McMinnville native, graduating from Oregon State University in 1995 and from the OHSU Dental School in 2001. His approach to dental care is to use conservative gold onlays and inlays, a process that conserves the tooth structure and gives potential for lifetime restoration.
Patients are well cared for, he said, with Tina Mitchell handling hygienist duties and Andrea Storton taking care of the reception area. Abdelnour's wife, Cassandra, helps out in the clinic as needed.
"We're really excited to be in Central Oregon, and are impressed with the community," he said.
He has joined Sisters Kiwanis and the Sisters Trails Alliance. Skiing and mountain biking rate highly in Abdelnour's list of outdoor activities.
New patients are welcome and can be accommodated quickly. Emergency care is available. Call 541-549-0973 to schedule an appointment.
