News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Black and White Gala on Friday, February 11, to gather the chamber's members and friends and celebrate the Sisters community's successes throughout 2010. The event includes a no-host bar, sit-down dinner featuring a combination entrée of New York steak and prawns (vegetarian options are available).
Attendees can also anticipate the Chamber's annual awards including: Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Non-Profit of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and - new this year - the Customer Service Award.
The newly elected members of the board of directors - Jacquie Zanck, Wade Underwood and Greg Willitts - will be installed and staff and board will announce the annual strategic and marketing plan.
"This is an exciting opportunity for folks from the Sisters Country to get all dolled up and enjoy a great evening out," said Chamber President Patty Vandiver. "2010 was an interesting year. Sisters saw highs and lows across all different industries, but overall it was a good year. Let's celebrate the successes of our community together."
South Valley Bank & Trust is the title sponsor for this year's event, which will be held at FivePine Lodge & Conference Center. The no-host bar opens at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dress is formal; black tie optional.
Tickets are available at $50 per person, or a table for eight can be reserved for $350. Reservations are available until February 4. Call the Chamber at 541-549-0251 or e-mail [email protected]
