Students visit Spain

Janis Quiròs took her 21st tour to Spain this spring. With the assistance of Gail Greaney, Ms. Quiròs took 18 students and two adults on a 12-day tour to Cinque Terre on the Italian coast, Nice, Barcelona and Madrid. The trip was flawless as students experienced travel by bus and street car, visited multiple museums and palaces, and had a phenomenal cultural experience.

"I thought that the Cinque Terre, its people and culture were amazing. I wish we had had more time there," said student Ryan Long

Kaitlynn Hendrickson noted that, "We were able to see and experience so much in a short time. It was fun to learn the language and try to better understand their culture. It was an amazing opportunity!"

"Being submersed in the various cultures was an amazing experience. Interacting with the natives was very rewarding. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to go on this trip," said Lauren White.

Quiròs is currently planning the next tour to take place in June 2012, assisted by Samra Spear. It will be a 13-day tour to Italy and Greece, touring Rome, Capri, the Sorrento region, Pompeii, Brindisi, Patras, Delphi, Athens, a three-day cruise through the Greek Isles, Santorini, Crete, Patmos, Mykonos, Kusadasi and back to the USA via

Athens.

Quiròs and Spear will hold their first meeting for this trip Thursday, April 14, at noon in Quiròs' Sisters High School classroom. Students and adults are welcome to join this tour. For more information, contact Quiros at 541-549-4045.
