News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Voters should elect Andrew Gorayeb to Position 4 on the Sisters School Board.
Gorayeb's track record in helping to lead the turnaround of Sisters Park & Recreation District, his work with the ASPIRE program, in which he has helped secure thousands of dollars in financial aid for students headed to college, and his coaching in the vibrant Outlaws lacrosse program all speak to his capacity for getting important work done quickly and well.
Gorayeb is a dynamic and innovative thinker with the energy and ability to push ideas forward into action, as demonstrated in his efforts to redesign the way sports programs are delivered in Sisters. The Sisters School District desperately needs these qualities as we struggle to maintain quality education in the face of dwindling resources.
Cort Horner, who is running against Gorayeb, is also a dynamic individual who will be an asset to the school district in any capacity. Hopefully, he will remain engaged with the schools and will eventually serve on the board as other positions come up for election.
Sisters schools are in rough waters, and need first-rate hands on deck and a steady hand on the helm. Gorayeb will serve the district well.
