To the Editor:

What a wonderful community we live in.

Today a neighbor, Fred Woodworth, came by and plugged a hole in our house made by woodpeckers. Next a group of ladies appeared - with a nice gentleman - to rake our pine needles.

A big thank you to all of you! I Heart Sisters holds a special place in our hearts.

To the Editor,

It is comforting to know we have two strong candidates willing to sacrifice their personal and family time to help lead our school district through this unprecedented time. These fine men are a benefit to our community and will continue to serve others regardless of the election result.

I am proud to be friends with both Cort Horner and Andrew Gorayeb.

As a fellow SPRD board member, Andrew has shown an amazing ability to solve problems. Although he has numerous business experiences to draw from, he also demonstrates a unique ability to think "outside the box" and find solutions to vexing issues.   His knowledge and willingness to put his skills to work have been major factors in transforming SPRD from a dying entity that operated in the red to a thriving community-focused organization that operates in the black.

Andrew is also a consummate leader and has demonstrated this ability with the successful lacrosse program and the Aspire program.  Thanks to his desire to truly see that no kid is left behind, there are kids in our community who are successfully attending college because of Andrew's diligent effort.

Andrew has clearly demonstrated his willingness to serve this community in an effective manner, and certainly has the skillset and determination to help lead our school board through the extreme budget cuts and difficult decisions facing the Sisters School District.
