Galapagos trip featured at meeting

The Friends of the Sisters Library (FOSL) is holding its Annual Membership Meeting, Thursday, June 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sisters Library Community Meeting Room.

FOSL President Jim Anderson - who has served in that capacity for five years - will give the welcome address and then, after the annual FOSL business has been taken care of, will present a keynote program: "10 days in the Galapagos."

There will be the election of officers, in which Anderson will be replaced by a new president. Anderson is retiring his position temporarily while he and his wife, Sue, are conducting a two-year golden eagle study with the Oregon Eagle

Foundation.

The well-known, and much-used FOSL cookbook, "What's Cooking In Sisters," and "That Was Yesterday" will both be available for $15 each for FOSL Members.

Those who are not members of FOSL are encouraged to join.

The Friends of the Sisters Library has been providing the annual Peg Bermel FOSL Scholarship to Sisters High School seniors for the past four years. This year's winner, Clare Greaney, will be awarded the scholarship at the meeting.

After the presentation of the scholarship, Jim Anderson will present his experiences on his recent trip to the Galapagos archipelago. Which will be followed by a drawing for a door prize.
