Sisters sheriff's calls...

• Deputies confiscated illegal aerial fireworks after the users sparked a small fire in a residential area east of Sisters. They got the fire out before authorities

arrived.

• A 32-year-old man was arrested for assault in an altercation with his father. Alcohol was involved.

• Deputies arrested a 21-year-old man for DUII.

• A shoplifter took a shirt from a local mercantile establishment. The owner allowed the suspect to pay for the shirt in lieu of legal action.

• A deputy dispatched a deer injured in a collision with a car.

• A deputy rescued a lost and dehydrated dog found wandering on Highway 242.

• A dog owner was cited after his dog bit a woman, breaking the skin.

• A woman reported damage to her front yard landscaping.

• ODOT workers found a suspicious item in the roadway that they suspected could be a pipe bomb. It was determined to be construction materials that had probably fallen off a truck or trailer.
