News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

Anthony "Andy" Earl Hartford August 21, 1978 -July 5, 2011

Anthony "Andy" Earl Hartford, age 32, left this world on July 5, 2011.

Born and raised in Sisters, Oregon, Andy was a loving, generous and proud family man. He especially enjoyed being outdoors, riding dirt bikes and fishing with his family. He was a jack-of-all-trades and a master of each of them. Andy had a relentless desire to better his family's lives. He has been sober for the last 5 years and was going to COCC to become a helicopter pilot. Andy's successes in life were measured by his intangible assets that had profound impact on everyone who knew him.

Survivors include the love of his life for 16 years, Kym; two daughters, Emily, age 13, and Sara, age 9; brother and best friend, Aaron; parents, Jon and Connie; along with an abundance of other family and friends. He left a legacy that will be remembered by us all.

Andy, his brother and their dad had a saying for each other that extends beyond the earth: "I love you, my friend."

We will all embrace Andy in our hearts and memories; it was a true privilege to know, love and be loved by him.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, July 16 at 2 p.m. on Geo. Cyrus Rd., about one mile on the right coming from Highway 126, follow the signs. The family extends the invitation to all friends, past and present.

In lieu of flowers there has been a fund set up at South Valley Bank in Kym Hartford's name to help the family with their financial needs while they take the necessary time to heal.
