News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show sends a huge thank you to the entire community of Sisters. Thanks to the businesses that sponsor the event - we couldn't put on a free show to benefit the town without your support! Thanks to everyone who spruced up their gardens, washed their buildings and allowed us to hang quilts on their storefront, fence, balcony, railings. Hurray for the 500 or so volunteers who make it all happen.
Much appreciation to The Nugget Newspaper for great coverage, wonderful stories and an awesome video of the event. A shout out to Sisters Folk Festival Inc. and the Americana Project alumni and students for joining the Gee's Bend Quiltmakers for a beautiful and moving performance. And thanks to everyone who made our visitors feel so welcome. It's the spirit of community that makes Sisters a special place; our visitors feel it, love it and come back for more of it. Thank you all so very much!
