Sisters sheriff's calls...

• The sheriff's office took in and disposed of a lot of unwanted prescription drugs during a shredding event last month.

• A couple of residents were involved in a dispute over driving speed on a local cul-de-sac. The driver agreed to talk to the complainant after he'd calmed down.

• An 81-year-old woman was cited after making a U-turn into another vehicle.

• In a separate matter, a deputy responded to pick up a small white dog found by a citizen. The dog was very aggressive and bit the deputy, tearing a protective glove. The dog was taken to the Humane Society. No word on whether it will be charged with assaulting a police officer.

• A woman on parole and forbidden from consuming alcohol was involved in a drunken dispute with her family.

• The sheriff's office is investigating graffiti found in Barclay Park.

• There were several arrests for drunk driving, involving people ranging in age from 21 to 73.

• A man in the midst of a divorce found some of his property in a pawn shop. He was advised that this is a civil matter and he should contact his attorney for advice.

• A drunken transient was found in the middle of the road trying to flag down a ride to his camp. He became combative with the deputy who contacted him and was taken to jail.

• A man's rear car window was apparently shot out with a BB gun while it was parked at his home.
