News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Bill Turner has been on the road for years, using his energy healing skills to enhance the performance of elite cutting horses and barrel racers. His success with horses earned him a national reputation as the "Hands on the Horse Guy."
Now, he's bringing his healing skills to bear on people in Sisters. Turner has joined the team at GreenRidge Physical Therapy & Wellness.
"I decided that, in the big picture of it all, I really wanted to offer my services to the community," Turner told The Nugget. "I've really made a committed choice to offer my services that I've been training in for 28 years to the community instead of going in and out traveling."
Turner's primary modalities are Reiki, ChiGong, Jin Shin, and Sahaj Energy Healing. For information on these practices, visit http://www.handsonthehorseguy.com/What_is_Energy_Balancing.html.
Turner believes he can help patients and clients at GreenRidge both with their physical recovery from injury, and with the emotional drain that injury and recovery often imposes.
"I've been through a lot of physical therapy," Turner said ruefully, recounting a list of injuries. "I know that initially people get a little depressed; they're usually a little angry about it - and I can speak for myself. They're just not feeling very grounded."
Turner's energy balancing helps with those difficulties.
While he is shifting his focus to helping folks in Sisters, Turner said he will continue his work with horses.
Zadow is excited about adding strength to the "wellness" component of his practice.
"The wellness part, we're always working on," he said.
He believes Turner's energy balancing work will add a valuable complement to physical therapy and massage.
Turner will be on hand at GreenRidge on Mondays and Wednesdays. For more information call 541-549-3534.
