The Lady Outlaws volleyball team posted two road wins this past week to keep their winning streak going and push their league record to 6-0.

Bailey Bremer and Fouts had two kills on the night while Michaela Meeter contributed a kill and two blocks.

Libero Sydney Stoneback led the team with 13 digs, and Fouts dished out 18 assists.

On Thursday, the Outlaws traveled to Sweet Home for a match on the Huskies' court.

Coach Diane Bremer was pleased with her team's performance.

"We knew this would be a high-energy game, and we came out 100 percent mentally prepared," said Bremer. "This was the best match we have played this season. Our defense was so tight tonight."

Sydney Stoneback came up with an astounding save on a broken play that brought the Outlaws fans to their feet when Sydney got the ball over the net. Stoneback and Shelbi Thompson were at the top of their game defensively and tied for digs at 17 each.

Several other players helped out in the Outlaws' defensive success. Kristina Johns had 11 digs, Shannon Fouts had eight, and Samantha Williamson recorded six. Jenny Houk contributed four digs and Chelsea Reifschneider made four difficult digs off the block.

"Our defensive specialists worked like clockwork tonight," stated Bremer.

The Outlaws also came out quick and aggressive on offense. Fouts did an amazing job of dishing out the sets and ended the night with 32 assists. Fouts was perfect from the service line and went 13/13 with her jump serve and logged three aces.

Bailey Bremer led the team with 12 kills and was followed by Megan Minke, who recorded eight kills and seven huge blocks in the match. Kristina Sparling had one of her best matches of the season, logging six kills and one block. Kristina Johns and Lizzy Carhart each added five kills, and Carhart also recorded two blocks.

Bremer added, "It was all- around just a very fluid match for us. We stayed aggressive and didn't have any lulls in our tempo. The Huskies are a scrappy team and defensively, they just touch so many balls."

The win puts the Lady Outlaws at 6-0 in league play. Sisters was to play at Elmira on Tuesday, October 11, and the following Tuesday, October 18, at La Pine.
