News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
â¯Ben Larson, Billy Biggers, Connor Schaab, and Tristan Lewis made time to fundraise for a good cause. The students created their third annual haunted house in the Larson barn. It was a fun and scary event for middle-school-aged kids during Halloween. Their efforts raised $201 for Sisters FAN (Family Access Network). The boys chose FAN to support children and families needing food, shelter, clothing and school supplies. A special "thank you" to their friends who helped "scare," and to all who attended the event.

Once again the Sisters Halloween Parade was a huge success. A very special "thank you" goes to all the Sisters merchants, Sisters Rotary Club, Sisters Public Library, City of Sisters, Sisters Elementary School and Barbara Turner.
Over 350 children dressed up in colorful costumes, more than 200 adults in festive outfits and 66 merchants generously provided candy for the children. Thanks, too, for the food donated by the participants to the Kiwanis Food Bank, helping those in need in our community.
It's wonderful to see parents, grandparents, children and storeowners all enjoy a colorful and festive parade. Thank you all for making another Halloween Parade a fun activity for the kids in our community.
â¯Hats off to the cast and crew of "South Pacific." The Sisters High School drama department pulled off a very classy rendition of this classic musical last week.
