Tickets still available for Starry Nights

A limited number of tickets are still available for "A Starry Nights Christmas with Gary Morris," set for Saturday, December 17, at 7 p.m. at Sisters High School. Morris, who headlined Starry Nights in 1998 and 2007, will be performing Christmas songs along with other classics for an unforgettable evening with one of the music industry's most eminent vocalists.

Six seventh- and eighth-grade singers from the Sisters Middle School Choir will be joining Gary onstage for a special Christmas selection. The students, who auditioned and were selected for this honor by their music teacher, Rick Johnson, are: Noah Eckstine, Ross Grant, Emma Houck, Robert Merola, Alena Nore and Chelsea Tosello. Masters of Ceremonies for the event are SHS seniors Elisabeth Kokesh-Carhart and Brett Pray.

Beginning at 6 p.m., concertgoers can enjoy the holiday spirit thanks to the seasonal concession delights offered by Sisters Coffee Company and the sounds of the Sisters High School Jazz Carolers performing in the lobby.

Guests will have a chance to participate in the silent auction, which includes tickets to see "West Side Story" and "MythBusters" in Portland, a romance package from FivePine Lodge; a spa day at Metamorphosis Salon; art treasures by Dan Rickards, Cathy Warner, Mike Baynes and Laurence Dyer; and a whitewater rafting trip guided by Sisters School District Superintendent Jim Golden. New to the event is the Starry Nights Balloon Tree, where a $20 contribution lets the donor pop a balloon to reveal a prize valued at a minimum of $20, with a chance to win much more.

Premier sponsors for the event are Ray's Food Place, Hawks Haven Reserve, FivePine Lodge and Spa and St. Charles Health System.
