I would like to say a big thank you to my friend of 30 years, Maggie Bull, for all of her help, and for my neighbors Dan and Trish Olsen, St. Charles home health for all their help since my surgery on December 2. I could not have done it without you. Also thanks to the Sisters paramedics for taking me back to the hospital on the day I came home. God bless you guys!
Sisters Athletic Club and Sisters Multisport Resolution Run on January 1
raised $100 for the Sisters High School Science Club and enough money to send the Sisters High School Lifeskills students on a ski trip to Hoodoo for the day.

Dear Sisters community,
I was informed three weeks ago by our current high school administration, that I would not be returning as the Head Volleyball Coach at Sisters High School.
I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to many who have supported Outlaw volleyball throughout my 13 years of coaching at Sisters High School. Especially memorable are the past five years as head coach. What an incredible ride we have had! Three trips to the state championship match, two state championships, a 2nd, 4th and 5th place finish - each season brings many memories. On behalf of each of those teams and myself, there was great delight in bringing home those titles to our community. It was a wonderful time of accomplishment and celebration!
There are a few people behind the scenes that I would like to recognize: I would like to thank Angi Gardinier at the bus barn, and her great staff of drivers; Susan, Teri, Carrie, Thia and others who safely transported my teams for over 130 trips over the mountain just in the past five years.
Also a shout-out to Gene O'Brien for keeping our buses in great working order.
Thank you to Jim and Lori, two of our custodians at the high school, for your never-ending support of the team and myself and for your efforts in cleaning up after matches - you both are dedicated Outlaw fans! Thank you to Rongi Yost for writing the sports articles for The Nugget and keeping the community informed.
Thank you to Dave Moyer for being the consistent "gate keeper" at home matches.
Thank you to Janice Comfort for volunteering your time to keep the book at home matches - you are so appreciated! Thank you to Pinky Pagano for being a true "Outlaw" and for the way you care about kids and keep order in the athletic department.
Thank you to Mary Flande for setting the bar high for Outlaw Athletics.
Your presence at the high school was greatly missed this past fall.
Thank you to our student fans who faithfully travel to matches, near and far, paint your faces and hands, and don great concoctions of attire to show your support! Thank you to the parents who volunteered to help fundraise and pitch in to help where needed.
And finally, thank you to the athletes - there have been bonds established that will last a lifetime!
I wish each upcoming and aspiring volleyball player the best, and may you have the opportunity to continue in the Outlaw volleyball tradition!
