News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The East of the Cascades Quilt Guild is hosting a presentation by Maret Pajutee and the Quilt for Two Rivers Project on Wednesday, January 25, at Stitchin' Post at 7 p.m. The event is open and free to the public.
The project is a ground-breaking collaboration between the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, the National Forest Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service to find new ways to connect people to the wild rivers that frame Sisters. The outcome of the project, two quilt installations - one 40-feet long, will hang in the Lodge at Black Butte Ranch during the month of June and be exhibited at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show in July before traveling to prestigious quilt shows and display locations in Oregon and Washington.
In the presentation on January 25, Pajutee will frame the project with the story of the Lost River Whychus and participating quilters will share their work in
progress.
