Martyn Joseph returns to Sisters for concert

Sisters Folk Festival fan favorite, Welsh singer-songwriter Martyn Joseph, will perform at Sisters High School on Friday, February 10, in the second installment of the festival's Winter Concert Series.

"It is rare indeed when a songwriter is so strong in his own unique voice and style that they redefine the music boundaries that are in place; this is Martyn Joseph," said Sisters Folk Festival Executive Director Brad Tisdel.

The 2012 series began January 23 with a rousing traditional zydeco performance by Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys. They put on a stellar performance, amazing the crowd with their vitality and mastery of the zydeco genre, past and present.

On Thursday, March 8, the series concludes with Red Molly, featuring tight vocal harmonies and a repertoire that touches the best in the folk music and Americana traditions.
