News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Americana trio Red Molly will roll into town on Thursday, March 8, for the final installment of the Sisters Folk Festival Winter Concert Series.
Fresh off their critically acclaimed new album "Light in the Sky," Red Molly bring with them their beautifully crafted three-part harmonies and exquisite Americana instrumentation. From the start, the trio got attention with their lively, engaging stage performances. Red Molly moved quickly from New York City coffeehouses to the festival circuit, winning notice for their performances at Merlefest, the Philadelphia Folk Festival, and NPR's Mountain Stage. Fans of the Sisters Folk Festival will remember their performances from the 2011 festival.
Prior to the show the Sisters Folk Festival will feature Americana Project students from Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Students will perform in the common area starting at 6 p.m. Food from Angeline's Bakery & Café will be available during the students' performance.
Tickets are still available for the Red Molly show and can be purchased from Paulina Springs Books (Sisters and Redmond) or FootZone of Bend. To purchase tickets online visit sistersfolkfestival.org/tickets. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Limited tickets will be available at the door for $20.
