Equestrians compete in second meet of season

The Sisters High School Equestrian Team completed their second Central Districts meet on March 22-25. The meet was held at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center and fielded 16 teams.

"Overall the team did similarly to the first meet, very strong in English events," said head coach and advisor, Beth Jacobsen.

There were also some creditable performances in the gaming events, and the drill team finished first in their division.

The team has been battling the flu for a month, with all the athletes succumbing at some stage. Jacobsen said all were well enough to compete.

The next meet is coming soon on April 6-8, at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center.
