Runners hit the road for preschool

Ninety-one runners hit the road in support of The Little Cloverdale Preschool on Sunday.

The school staged its first-ever half-marathon and 8k run as a fundraiser for the school - and it was successful both in its mission and as a race. According to race organizer Bryn Singleton, the event raised $2,000.

The courses were lined out along Cloverdale and Jordan Roads.

Josh Nordell took overall honors in the half-marathon, with a time of 1:28.27 and the top female finisher was Ali Tujo with a time of 1:34.27.

"The top four finishers were all from Sisters, which was kinda cool," Singleton said.

Tia Snowback was first in the 8k in 37:02, with Kevin Bannister nipping at her heels in 37:03.
