Keith Greeninger to perform at The Barn

Keith Greeninger has built a loyal following in Sisters Country since he first thrilled the audience at the Sisters Folk Festival in 2004.

The Santa Cruz-based singer-songwriter will bring his down-to-earth song-and-story craft and his passionate stage show to The Barn in Sisters on Saturday, June 2, at 7 p.m. for what's being billed as "Songs and Stories: An Intimate Evening With Keith Greeninger." Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Bring your own snacks and beverages. A suggested donation of $15 may be made at the door.

Greeninger has some new tunes in his song bag, which he is developing for a new CD.

"It's been really nice to be doing some solo stuff again," he told The Nugget. "I've been working on this new CD, so it's great to be able to reconnect with some of these new songs."

Folks who come to The Barn show will get some insight into the songs through Greeninger's engaging storytelling.

Sisters has become one of Greeninger's favorite tour stops.

"It's just a chance to come back to the Northwest and connect with Sisters," he said. "Man, I love Sisters... you just get what I do."

After Sisters, Greeninger will head to Cottage Grove for a benefit show for a buddy who is building low-fuel, low-emission cookstoves for people in Third World countries.

Sisters singer-songwriter Brad Tisdel will open the show - and he'll undoubtedly take the stage with his friend Greeninger, too.

"We'll be doing some songs together, you can bet on that," Greeninger said. "And I'll pull some locals up there, too, like I tend to do."

The Barn is located at 68467 Three Creek Rd. (south on Elm Street about 3/4 mile from town). For more information contact Cris Converse at 775-233-1433 or email [email protected]
