News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The Sisters Ford Family Leadership Cohort No. 3 held a reception for their two earlier cohorts at Janet Zuelke and Forrest Babcock's home at the end of Lake Drive on the edge of Whychus Creek Canyon. Attendees were treated with wine, hors d'oeuvre's and a chance to walk Janet's 11-circuit natural labyrinth.
The current Ford leadership group is raising funds and in-kind donations to build a "Sisters Community Labyrinth" on the Forest Service East Portal property east of Bi-Mart and north of Sister Les Schwab.
The current Sisters cohort will be hosting a public gathering at the East Portal site on June 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. with complimentary wine and appetizers. Visitors can learn about the health benefits of a labyrinth and have fun taking a walk on a chalk-line labyrinth.
