• Sisters dentist Tom Reuben, DMD, FAGD, received the 2012 Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry during the AGD 2012 annual meeting and exhibits held June 21-24 in Philadelphia, PA.

The Fellowship Award is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality of dental care by remaining current in their profession. To accomplish this goal, Dr. Rheuben completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a comprehensive exam and fulfilled three years of continuous membership in AGD.

"We are proud to honor Dr. Rheuben for his commitment to his profession," said AGD President Jeffrey M. Cole, DDS, MBA, FAGD. "He has distinguished himself professionally among his peers and is a role model both to his fellow dentists and to the members of his community."

• Edward Jones financial advisor Darren Layne and branch office administrator Lisa Tracy were recently ranked in the top 25 percent in the nation and No. 2 in the region for excellence in client service at Edward Jones.

"We are particularly honored by this award as it is one bestowed upon us by our clients," Layne said.

The honor was awarded based on the results of a survey in which random clients were asked to rank the service they received from the staffs of their local Edward Jones offices. The survey identified Layne and Tracy as providing some of the most exemplary service within the firm.

• Sara Weldon is now sole proprietor of Sara's Coffee (formerly Mountain Coffee). She's offering the same great products with a new local, healthy twist: Baked goods from Angeline's Bakery & Café, protein smoothies, huckleberry lemonade, etc. She will host a grand opening under a new name on July 6-7, with free 12-oz. smoothies all day and a drawing for free coffee for a year.

• Kendra Littrell is the new manager of Shibui Spa at FivePine.

"Kendra has been part of the campus from the beginning, and it is only natural for her to now be located at the heart of FivePine," says spa owner Zoe Willitts. "We are very excited to have her at Shibui and look forward to all she will bring to this community."
