News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

• The second annual Ray's Quilt Challenge has two lucky winners.

Ray's shoppers voted for their favorite quilt on display during July, and "Sawtooth Cats" by Lawry Thorn (left in photo) of Sisters was the winner by a landslide.

Libby Seitz (right in photo), also of Sisters, was the winner of the random drawing from those who voted.  Both ladies were awarded $50 gift cards by Ray's store manager, Jeff McDonald (center).

"We love having a mini-quilt show for the month of July," said McDonald. "We have over 3,000 people a day come through the store, and having the quilts up all month lets many folks that may not have been able to be here for the show still be part of the event."

• Dr. Tony Green has moved his chiropractic office across the parking lot to partner with Jim Boraas and Core Fitness Training. The new address is 413 W. Hood Ave., Unit D.

"Joining forces with Jim is a natural fit. After I get your spine aligned, Jim helps you strengthen your core so that it stays adjusted," Dr. Green noted.
