News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
The last thing you'd think a relentless touring artist like Fred Eaglesmith would need is the one thing those who know him best would most expect - more tour dates. Doggedly plying his craft and supporting his acclaimed album "6 Volts" across North America, Eaglesmith and his hard-rocking band have added a return engagement to The HarmonyHouse as they are wrapping up their tour.
Eaglesmith is returning to HarmonyHouse Concerts with his full band on the heels of his 2012 Route 66 Tin Can Caravan, where the Fred Eaglesmith Band headlines the 18-day Chicago-to-Santa Monica journey.
The show is set for Saturday, October 6. Suggested donation advance tickets are $25. Doors open at 7 p.m.; music starts at 8 p.m.
Eaglesmith made a promise to return when he played for a packed HarmonyHouse Concert in 2009, and he is a man of his word.
"We had Eaglesmith booked for a show the year that our shop burned down," said Katie Cavanaugh. "Our friends Mike and Shawn Biggers were so gracious to open their beautiful home to host the Fred Eaglesmith concert for us so we didn't have to cancel the show!"
Eaglesmith is known for his gritty songwriting, exciting live performances and a wicked sense of humor.
HarmonyHouse is located at 17505 Kent Rd. off Cloverdale, east of Sisters.
