BBR named a top place to work

Black Butte was named a Top Workplace for 2012 by The Oregonian, Oregon's largest daily newspaper. Rankings were based on surveys filled out by approximately 18,000 employees of 111 companies throughout Oregon and southwest Washington. Sixty employers were chosen to be ranked in three categories (large, midsize and small). Black Butte Ranch was #35 of 40 employers in the small company category-and the only Oregon resort to make the list.

Black Butte Ranch has been a favorite family vacation destination for over 40 years. The Ranch is dedicated to providing a friendly and fun work environment for employees. One Black Butte Ranch survey participant quoted: "The atmosphere is like being on vacation while you work."

"We are gratified that our employees took the time to complete the survey and express such positive views of the resort. Much of the resort's success is attributable to its dedicated staff who work tirelessly to provide families and vacationers an incredible experience at the Ranch," said CEO Scott Huntsman. "We really focus on a collaborative effort to provide exceptional customer service to our guests.

"We are committed to the idea that great customer service begins with a positive, highly motivated team and strive to provide a conducive environment for all of our people. Recognition as one of Oregon's top workplaces is a rewarding confirmation of our success."
