Sisters will honor its military veterans in the traditional Sisters High School Veterans Day observances on November 8 at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Veterans and families are invited to participate in a veterans assembly honoring all those who have served their country.
The program is being held in the auditorium, with guest speaker and music presentation.
A coffee reception with the Sisters High School Leadership class will follow the morning assembly.

Sisters Elementary School will host a Veterans Day program on Friday, November 9, 9 to 9:30 a.m. in the commons. The program is to honor those that have served in the military as well as those that are currently enlisted.
There will be a brief program that starts off with the Pledge of Allegiance, and students and visitors will all sing the National Anthem. The veterans will be presented with cards colored and designed by the fourth-grade classes. The Sisters Elementary School choir will sing a song and then all will join in singing "America (My Country 'Tis of Thee)," followed by the raising of the flag. The veterans will then have time to visit with each other as they enjoy some refreshments after the program.
Sisters Middle School will also host a veterans assembly, Friday, November 9, from 2:05 to 2:55 p.m.
Veterans and community members are welcomed as students honor local veterans.
