News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon
Charles (Chuck) Bosworth was born March 30, 1931 in Glendale, California, to Ira and May Bosworth, and died November 18, peacefully at home.
Chuck attended school in Anaheim, California until he married in 1950. He worked for John McCloud, skippering his fishing boat from 1956 to 1964, when he went to work for Robert Breech of Ford Motor Company, skippering the company's vessel, the 81-foot "Conquistador."
To his friends in Newport Beach and San Diego, he was always known as Charlie. After touring many ports of call, including Alaska, Costa Rica, and Cabo San Lucas, Chuck gave up deep sea fishing and retired to Sisters in 1994 to fish the local lakes and streams.
Many of his retired years were spent traveling in his motor home with his wife and enjoying the companionship of his Yorkies: Suka, Ashley and Mitzy. Chuck was also a longtime and beloved member of the daily "roundtable" coffee klatch at Sisters Athletic Club, where he always had something witty to say and a smile for everyone.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 62 years, Corrine; three children, William Bosworth of San Diego, Kathy Bosworth and Susan Bosworth of Sisters; also a brother, Harold, of San Diego.
