News and Opinion from Sisters, Oregon

Letters to the Editor 12/05/2012

To the Editor:

Volunteers in Medicine recently presented their program at an EDCO staff meeting and I wanted to share the information with the Sisters community.

This organization cares for working adults in Deschutes County who do not make enough money to afford medical insurance or services. They use a community approach to provide healthcare to patients 19 to 64, without charge. Their goal is to keep uninsured, low-income adults in Deschutes County as healthy as possible so that they can work, care for their families and contribute to their community.

If you would like additional information, please call the clinic at 541-330-9001 or visit http://www.vim-cascades.org.

To the Editor,

You have a great newspaper but we have noticed lately that when there is a picture that accompanies an article, with people in it, the writer does not always identify those faces he or she just posed to get the shot!

It makes the article incomplete in my opinion. Not to mention showing a bit of laziness on the photographers' and writers' part.

Sincerely,

Terri Reiman
