Club offers a taste of 'Bumbling Science'

If you have something scheduled from 4:30 to 7 p.m. this coming Monday, January 14, cancel it. You don't want to miss "Bumbling Science" and the other scheduled events that will begin in the Sisters Elementary School - sponsored by Sisters School District, Sisters Park & Recreation District and Sisters Science Club (SSC).

At 4:30 p.m., there will be an open house in the SSC Discovery Lab, where the children will explain and share the scientific facts they have been gathering from the varied activities held in the Discovery Lab every week on a Tuesday throughout the school year.

You won't have to go home to have supper, as there will be a no-charge community dinner for everyone at 5:30 p.m. in the Atrium. However, "no-charge" means there will be a hat passing around for a $2 donation.

After supper, everyone will be seated in the gym at 7 p.m. to enjoy the antics of the funniest bumbling scientists you'll see in a spell.

"Bumbling Science" is a 50- to 60-minute educational and entertaining show about science - mostly chemistry and physics - performed by two talented educators who are also professional clowns: Perrin Boyd and Deb Reynolds. The show has been performed in many cities around the U.S., is suitable for children and adults, and has some audience interaction. There's no charge - just prepare to learn and have great fun.
