Sisters Chamber seeks award nominations

Nomination forms are now available for the annual Sisters Country Awards. Participants in the process may nominate a business and an individual that has gone above and beyond in their service to the community throughout 2012.

"The Sisters Country Awards are an excellent way to represent the best of the best of our great community," said Erin Borla, executive director of the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce. "This community is full of businesses and individuals that bend over backwards for the benefit of our small town. This is a great way to recognize all of the efforts people put in."

Each award reflects outstanding service to the community beyond the normal course of business. Recipients must have demonstrated leadership and a sense of cooperation and collaboration while benefiting the community and civic enterprises in Sisters Country. Awards seeking nominations are: Business of the year, citizen of the year, volunteer of the year, non-profit of the year, and a business that exemplifies the "pioneering spirit" of the community as defined by the community vision statement for the "Pioneering Spirit" award.

Awards winners will be announced on Friday, February 22, at the annual Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce Mardi Gras Masquerade Awards Ceremony held at FivePine Lodge and Conference Center.

Nomination forms are available at the Sisters Area Chamber of Commerce office, 291 E. Main Ave. or online at http://www.SistersCountry.com. Nominations are accepted through Thursday, January 31, and can be submitted in person, via fax (541-549-4253), email ([email protected]
