Sisters Outlaws riders turned in strong performances in the final meet of the season for the Central District of Oregon High School Equestrian Teams (OHSET) on April 19-21 at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center. Several team members earned slots in state competition.
Olivia Chandler took gold in Hunt Seat Over Fences, followed by her sister Ellie in second place. Both qualified for state in multiple disciplines. Olivia also took first in Dressage, with Autumn Saunders (state qualifier) in second and Ellie Chandler in third. Elizabeth Larson placed eighth.
Hunt Seat Equitation saw Elissa O'Connor take first, Ellie Chandler in second and Autumn Sauders coming in fifth. Cammi Benson placed ninth.
Benson and O'Connor teamed up to take gold in Working Pairs, qualifying for state. Benson also notched a first-place showing in driving and a second-place in reining. Benson will compete in several disciplines at state. Cammi was also honored as 2013 OHSET Rookie Rider.
Bobbi Jo Rosauer earned gold state qualification with a first-place in Saddle Seat Equitation and Madison Murphy claimed first-place honors in Figure eight and a second-place showing in Breakaway Roping.
