A limited number of tickets are left for "Starry Nights Presents Keb' Mo'," featuring the three-time Grammy Award-winning artist in a solo acoustic performance at Sisters High School on Saturday, May 18.
Opening the concert will be Jena Rickards and Friends. Rickards, a 2008 Sisters High School graduate, is an accomplished singer-songwriter who will be joined by Nashville musicians Cody Fry and Niko Xidas.
Lobby doors open at 6 p.m. and theater doors at 6:30 p.m., with the show starting at 7 p.m. The lobby will feature treats from Sisters Coffee Company, a silent auction, and entertainment by SHS Jazz Choir and Americana Project performers. Student emcees Colton Cooper and Jordan Williams, both SHS seniors, will host the evening. SHS Americana Project students Shannon Fouts, Lindsey Johnson, Mike Patterson, Jaimee Simundson, Madison Slicker and Avi Vogel will be highlighted in two special selections with Keb' Mo'.

A singer, guitarist and songwriter, Keb' Mo' s music blends blues, jazz, rhythm and blues, and soul through melody and rhythm. He has won three Grammy Awards for Best Contemporary Blues Album for his releases Just Like You, Slow Down and Keep It Simple. This year, he received his sixth Grammy nomination for The Reflection, the debut recording on his own Yolabelle International label, which featured collaborations with Vince Gill, India.Arie and Dave Koz.
His many career highlights include his recent appearance at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Music Festival at Madison Square Garden in New York, along with an all-star line-up including B.B. King, Vince Gill, Keith Richards, John Mayer, Buddy Guy, Keith Urban and Gary Clark, Jr.
The concert series, now in its fifteenth season, is a benefit for the Sisters Schools Foundation. It has raised more than one million dollars for Sisters schools since its inception in 1997 - a milestone which will be celebrated at the Keb' Mo' concert. Starry Nights has funded programs including music, art, drama, science, sports, math, technology, foreign language, IEE, outdoor school and physical education, and has provided such key learning elements as state-of-the-art interactive SMART Boards in all classrooms at all three schools, as well as textbooks and library books.
