Hedrick, Herburger lead in election results

Incumbent Sisters School Board chairman Don Hedrick has a commanding lead in the race for Position one, while Melvin Herburger leads the Position 3 race. The other two races are uncontested. Kay Grady will return to the board, as will Justin Durham.

At the most recent reporting from the Deschutes County Clerk's Office, Hedrick had 1,259 votes or 79 percent to win the seat contested by Erik Pronold and Dave Marlow. Herburger led with 1,023 votes (57 percent) over Edie Jones, who had received 762 votes (42.5 percent).

Five of six precincts have reported.
